most people, i believe, forced themselves to give an answer.
i knew many elders and servants over the years being counseled because they rarely answered.. funny thing....my mom who is 88 cries if she doesn't give a comment.

I'm afraid I lost the will to live once the conversation got onto the dream about a tree. It was just like being at the meetings again.
No wonder I have no scriptural knowledge after 20 years of being a JW.
It was just so mind numbingly boring. I used to shut off completely at the meetings.

Terry - I wish I was brave enough to do what you have done. I'm too chicken. It doesn't help that I don't know enough of what they believe or any scriptural knowledge to argue with despite being one of them for 20 years!

My Book of Bible Stories- Sex and Violence
by HowTheBibleWasCreated inon a previous post on the bible's sex-violence several mentioned children and the yellow book (1978 version).
i will compile a list here.. one only needs to go to story 6 to find a man smashing his brothers skull in and picture of his brother's blood on the ground.
the very next story 7 has pictures of violence, clut worship, drunkeness, (unimplied sex).. the next story 8 shows a giant beating a person the death while holding them with one hand.

Wimbledon!
by Laika instarts today!
now that england have slightly spoiled my world cup with their early failure, i am focusing a little more on the tennis.
i happen to live 15 minute walk from the wimbledon tennis courts so am completely caught up in the atmosphere, i will be joining the queue with a friend thursday night, camping out for the ticket queue early friday morning.

I am in the sense that I am very glad that I was born in Great Britain. I'm glad I wasn't born in the middle east. I'm glad I was born in a country that is tolerant of others, has free health care, free education and looks after the less fortunate. Compared to many countries here on planet earth, I live in a great country.
Not perfect but still Great
And we have great Queen who has dedicated her life to her country.
So yes, I am patriotic. Now shoot me

i have the common dreams of flying and being chased all the time.
and i used to dream about demons but not for a very long time.. but heres the thing, i often dream that i've been captured and about to be tortured or murdered and the rest of my dream is about me negotiating my freedom and promising all sorts of things if they will only let me go free.

I even tell them where other people are hiding so they will take them instead of me. I don't like to think what that part says about me.
My question is, does anyone else have similar dreams as I've not heard of this one before. And, I do wonder if its due to my upbringing and being in constant fear that I would be captured during the great tribulation and put in a concentrations camp and tortured. I can remember always wondering if I'd be strong enough to die for my faith and would I turn others in in return for my freedom. I remember having these thoughts throughout my childhood.
